Monitoring Technician
Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Ltd, part of the Igne group of companies, are seeking to appoint a Monitoring Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and progressive geotechnical contractor based out of either of their Scottish operations.
This role will involve working out on site obtaining and testing a variety of gas and water samples in-situ. Consideration will be given to experienced field technicians and also those without experience as full training will be provided. What we do need is for you to have a clean UK driving license and a desire to work outdoors in all weathers. This is a full-time job with excellent rates of pay and overtime (both in the week and over the weekend), and the opportunity to work in an exciting and growing sector along with excellent career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- On-site monitoring of gas and water levels
- Groundwater sampling and inclinometer reading
- Completion of test sheets and data entry onto tablets
- Working within in-house quality assurance systems
- Maintain high levels of health and safety in line with company policies
About You:
Essential
- Clean UK driving licence
- You will need good communication skills - both written and verbal
- You must be confident to work in a team environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to organise your own workload
Desirable
- Previous experience in a UKAS accredited testing environment in a similar role
- Knowledge of testing standards and processes
Salary & Benefits:
- Basic salary is c£29,500 but will depend on the level of experience. Overtime is available after 45 hours and weekends at enhanced rates
- 33 days’ holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
